Hey.
This is the product of my sick mind. I had flu all weekend and all I could do was reading comics. I kinda melted Ultimate Fanatstic Four and OUAT.
Anyway meet the new Mr Fantastic : Reed Gold.
This is a Two Shot.
Enjoy.
That was the only thing he had left from him father.
Reed Gold glared at the book. He remembered his father wandering about other worlds when he was a boy. He disappeared when he was 13.
Reed dedicated his studies in the Baxter Building on finding a way to other dimensions. He was certain his dad was somewhere and that he could find him.
This machine needed to work. He just needed to find a higher source of energy.
"- Hey."
Reed jumped, his heart beating faster to the sound of that melodious voice.
It was Belle's Storm.
Reed and Belle met at 16, when he first entered Baxter Building, a center of high studies in science. She was Dr Storm's daughter, and was now specialized in genetic research. Even though, she was the biggest help Reed had in his own researches.
"- Are you going to react like this all the time?" She asked.
"- It seems so." He just answered, shrugging.
"- How are you, Reed, you seem tired. "
She was genuine, he could tell. Always taking care of that poor Reed Gold.
"- I'm okay. As usual."
She watched the book he had in hand.
"- You will find him.
- But I don't…
-You will.
- Your father is so disappointed.
- Are you kidding?
- I should have already found a way."
She couldn't believe it. Reed was always so self-negative. Why couldn't he see the great man she saw in him every time she laid her eyes on him?
"- My dad adores you.
- I let him down.
- No. You are disappointed. My dad loves you.
- I'm useless, I can't bring anything good in this research faulty…"
She wanted to slap him so hard. Slap him for him to stop bringing himself down.
But another feeling was making its way in her mind. She felt herself drawn to him, and she awkwardly hugged him.
"- I know you can do it Reed. I believe in you."
And in her arms, Reed hoped she was right.
When Reed came back from the lab into his room, he immediately saw Zelena Von Wicked, his ex-crazy girlfriend writing frantically down on a paper.
"- ZELENA! What are you doing? Go away, that's my room."
She noticed him briefly before going back to her writing.
"- That's not how you should do it.
- What are you saying? That's my work, don't touch it!"
She smirked, replacing her red hair behind her ears.
"- Really Reed. I thought you were smarter than that. I propose you a deal.
- A deal?
- I need your pretty little brains to help me on my time machine.
- Alright, alright I'll work on that. What do you have for me?"
She rummaged through her pockets only to sort out a small vial, full of a red liquid.
"- Is that…
- Yes.
- How did you manage to get unstable cosmic molecules?
- I'm rich, you're not. Listen, Reed, we all want the same thing. A Happy Ending. All you need is putting this vial in your machine, and it should give enough energy to make it work.
You create the machine, I give the cosmic energy. Simple as Magic.
- Not Magic, Dearie…Science."
The Day finally came. Dr Storm approved Reed and Zelena's project and reunited a team to build the machine in a deserted area.
That day, Reed, Zelena, Belle and her little brother Killian left the Baxter Building early. Reed talked about an old friend joining them for the experience.
Dr Storm wasn't really keen on letting his children try the machine, but he trusted Reed. He knew he would never put Belle's life in danger.
Recalculating equations to calibrate the machine, Reed was working on a computer, inside a tent. Belle and Killian staying with them while Zelena was putting the vial in the machine.
"Reed, can I ask you something? "Asked Killian, a smirk on his face, checking his sister's reaction. Belle quickly glared at Killian, with a frown. Reed, he was too concentrated on the machine to even notice Killian's voice.
"What are you doing, Killian?" Belle asked, with her heart suddenly beating faster. She knew that Killian was aware of her feelings for Reed. She spent all her time with him since his first coming in the Baxter Building. They had worked so hardly to find a way to this another dimension, that they had created a bound. It was only several months earlier, when Reed started to date Zelena Von Wicked, that Belle knew she felt something more for Reed. She was so consumed by jealousy towards Zelena, but fortunately for her, Reed dated that wicked witch during 1 months 1 week and 4 days exactly. Belle was always the first person to know about Reed's whereabouts or feelings. First he was so closed, hardly talking, but she gained his affection and made him open a little.
Unfortunately for Killian, Reed was too absorbed by his work to acknowledge the youngest Storm sibling request. Anyway, he will ask him the burning question later, when Belle would be far.
It was simple, the chemical reaction Reed created with the machine, would unleash a smoke storm with cosmically proprieties. It would transport them to another dimension.
Right now, Reed and Killian were outside the tent, putting on their survival suit.
"Reed, can I ask you a question?" Killian said, with his famous smirk on his lips.
"Sure, what do you want Killian?" Reed seemed to have his mind away, Killian noticed, hoping he was thinking about his sister rather than numerous and complicated calculations and equations.
"- You do like my sister, right?
- Sure I do? Why?" Reed answered, thinking Killian asked about them being good friends. Neither Killian, nor anyone in this world, should know about his burgeoning feelings for Belle Storm.
The younger member of the exploration group shook his head.
"- I mean, she's gorgeous.
- She is what?
- You know. You really like her."
Oh god. Did he knew? Reed's heart was racing. What should he answer to that? To his eyes, Belle Storm was more than gorgeous. She was like a living goddess, and it would take only one of her smile to brighten his life until its last day.
He opened his mouth, trying to find anything random to say, but his throat wouldn't let any sound came out of him.
"-Come on. You two work together for years. You should go talked to her. I'm sure she will understand, if you know what I mean."
Sweat began to roll down Reed's face when a deep voice shouted his name. He turned to see his best friend ever, Jefferson Grimm.
"- Jefferson, I'm so happy to see you again!"
Jeff wrapped his arms around Reed's thin and frail body. The guy was Reed's oldest friend. He was the only boy from school to defend the young "Goldie" when the popular guys bothered him.
Jeff only wished Reed was now able to protect himself.
When he noticed the blondish haired boy next to his best friend, Jeff extended his hand to him.
"- My name's Jeff Grimm.
- He is my best friend…from…before." Added Reed, mentioning his past, before he ever came to the Baxter Building.
Killian smiled and introduced himself to the new guy, while Belle went out the tent, followed by Zelena.
"- That's my sister Belle, and then it's Zelena, but she would not even notice you."
The Von Wicked girl shrugged.
"- its ready guys. Come on."
The red smoke was coming quickly, and the five of them were standing in front of it, unmoving. It shocked Reed when he felt Belle's light, tiny hand brushing softly against his. He opened his fist, letting her hand took shelter in his.
She was so close from him, but at the same time, Reed wanted her to be even closer. As if his wish was granted, her body bumped against him, and he caught a glimpse of her face towards him.
What was happening? Reed's mind seemed to be lost, racing, trying to find an appropriate reaction to this strange phenomenon. He felt his mind lost a battle against his heart, when he found himself turning his head towards Belle's.
She was smiling gently, her face was red, but maybe it was because of the smoke coming to them. Her blue eyes were shinning, staring into his, like she couldn't take her eyes away, stuck into this unbearable attraction. A pleasant warmth came through Reed's body, even making its way on his cheeks, and he was blushing.
His head bent naturally, reducing the distance between their faces. He saw her lips opening
a little and all he could think now was what taste did those lips have. Were they soft? They seemed so welcoming.
With her eyelids almost closed, he closed the gap, and kissed her.
It was like he was flying in the air, hand in hand with Belle, reaching this all new world he called "love". So she did share his feelings. He couldn't believe it. How could she love him? Reed Gold, the uninteresting geek, his head always in science stuff, always creating himself trouble by doing nothing. Belle, she was so smart, wised, and god, so beautiful.
He never thought Belle would possibly want him.
Her arms knotted around his waist.
They could kiss forever but the lack of breathe led them to separate.
"-Reed…" Began Belle, when a loud "Boom" blurted out into the air.
They both left their contemplation to check the smoke storm. It was already here, on them and a giant, dazzling white light covered the team as another explosion boomed out.
Nothing should have exploded, thought Reed before he lost consciousness.
Please Read and Review, and tell me if Emilie would have been a better Sue Storm, even though I love Jessica Alba and can't wait for Kate Mara to show what she can do.
