A Father's Worry
Sasuke's thoughts were wandering all about as he paced in the middle of his living room. A five month pregnant Sakura was laughing hysterically at his little charade. She just couldn't hold back the snorts of laughter caused by him.
"Sasuke-kun! You're worrying too much," Sakura managed to say in between her snorts.
Sasuke stopped his pacing and glared at the pink haired woman. Don't get him wrong. He loved her. But at this time, she was being completely annoying.
You see, he was worried. When an Uchiha was worried it should raise some red flags.
It had been three years since the start of his journey for redemption. He would travel for weeks and come back into the loving arms of his wife. So it was no surprise when one day she said she was pregnant. Because honestly, there was a welcome home surprise every time he came back.
He glared.
"Sakura, i'm being serious."
Sakura stopped laughing. Her expression softened.
"Sasuke-kun, she would never hate you."
Sakura stood up from her couch and wandered over to her pondering husband. She wrapped her arms around his waist as much as her swelled belly would let her.
"She will never hate you. One day she will be old enough to understand your past and when that time comes she'll understand you because she will love you."
Sasuke looked down to see Sakura's eyes peering up at him. They were filled with a strange emotion.
Hope.
Hope for him.
Hope for the family they were about to become.
Sasuke's worries soon faded. He had a long road ahead as a future parent. He was going to make sure that he gave the world to his children
"Thank you, Sakura."
