Just a Sign of the Times

Judy and her Fox were on patrol and she noticed the new publicity sign for Tundratown. Nick heard his bunny growl and chuckled. He looked up at the nude white furred vixen on the sign and smiled.

"Something wrong Judy?"

She slowed the curser.

"What do you think of those new signs!"

"Marble's gotta make a living just like everyone else."

"You know her!"

"Judy, I know everybody," he said and then remembered the last time he'd said that exact same thing to his bunny.

He winced and then looked at his partner. Apparently she did too. He swallowed and looked back at the sign.

"She was just a teenager back in Foxtown."

"Apparently she's all grown up now."

"Judy, I …" he began and his bunny pulled into a parking lot and shut off the engine. "I never did apologize for that, did I?"

"No, you didn't," she said looking as expressionless as she was that time too.

"Judy, I am sorry," he said and sighed. "I was a real … "

"Jerk!" she said and he winced again. Then her voice softened. "But you're my jerk." Then she smiled and unhooked her seat belt. She leaned toward her Fox. "On your first day you asked me a question."

Her eyes twinkled and Nick smiled remembering.

"You know you love me."

"Do I know that?" she said and looked up for a moment as if she needed to actually consider the question. Then purple eyes met green ones. "Yes. Yes, I do with all my heart."

She moved closer and her Fox smiled. She put a hand behind his head and their lips met. Their first kiss ended only when they had to breathe. Then Nick's eyes drifted back to the nude vixen and then he looked back and smiled at his bunny's expression. He pulled his bunny into his arms and grinned.

"Judy, it's just a sign of the times."
