Random poem I thought of…I made a connection between Axel, New Year's Eve, and fireworks….and I can't have Axel without Naminè….(Agh! The format was kind of skewered...Oh well...)

New Year's Eve
A white scarf
A white sweater
Flurries of snow fall
Light as a feather
New Year's Eve again
She wonders where he went
When will he return again
The one who the fires bent?
Strolling down the sidewalk
She passes the shops, alone
Enduring the frozen fingers
Emotions hard to show
She would claim it is disappointment
And a hint of sadness, too
Promises seem to be broken
Are the rumors of his return untrue?
Night is quickly coming
Magic sparks the sky
Of all the people celebrating
This new year passing by
Fires illuminate the heavens
Reminding her of him
Playing with fire, dangerous
Yet with a confident grin
She misses him so much
But is called back to her home
She steps into her room
Leaking a muffled moan
Nearby she hears a sudden pop
Fireworks explode outside
Could it be him
The one of the fire's pride?
She rushes down the stairs
Disregarding nature's chill
He stands there simply grinning
From her uncontainable thrill
She falls into his arms
So warm, not just a dream
Months of separation end
On the night of New Year's Eve.
