Right Next to Her

A poem on Prim's death, written for school. My teacher is a huge Hunger games fan and we had to write a found poem.

Right Next To Her

I have the same reaction,

I called out her name,

Trying to yell above the roar,

I can't account for the last few seconds,

As I push through the crowd,

I'm almost there,

I think she hears me,

Her lips form my name,

And that's when the rest of the parachutes go off,

I watched as my little sister turned into a human torch,

I want to die,

Right here,

Right now,

Right next to her,

But I must fight,

Fight for her.
