She didn't walk out on me. Oh, wait. She just did.
Normally, Caroline would blabber and tell me everything. She's straightforward like that. She can get confrontational with you even if you're not asking for it. But tonight's just different. It's weird 'cause I can't read her mind or something. She's like, what, my best friend but she's too hard to decipher. How do I make sense of that?
Damon is off with Elena and I'm here, stuck in a pub full of people who are probably too drunk to engage in an "intellectual" discussion.
If only Lexi were here, though.

Ugh, of all people, why does it have to be her? Why Caroline?
Tell you what, this is not fair.
"After all of this, I— I don't wanna be friends anymore."
I don't wanna be friends… anymore. Anymore? Huh? What does she mean? Could it possibly be that—no? That's impossible. If she's in love with me, she would tell it straight to my face, right?
…or not.
She chose not to because I let her take care of my not-so-fake girlfriend Ivy.
But that didn't stop her.
Caroline still helped me keep my shit together, even when she had all the reasons not to. She could've turned her back on me, but she didn't. She wouldn't have the guts to tell me, straight to my face, to stay – for her.
I've been naïve all this time.
I can live my life knowing that I'll never have the chance to step foot in Mystic Falls again. But I can't imagine my life without Caroline. I don't want her out of my life. I have to find her.
There she is, sitting on a bench while staring at the moon. I could sit next to her.
"What do you want, Stefan?"
"You. I want you—"
"Wha— you can't say you want me back in your life and then you'll walk away from me anytime you want!"
"I didn't say I want you back," I chuckled.
"FYI, it's not funny, Salvatore. Can you just go back to wherever you came from and—"
"I want you¸Caroline. It's not Mystic Falls I'm afraid to face. It's you, Care. It's you all along."
"Stefan-"
"Only you can make me feel human again, Care. I love you."
"After all of this, Stefan, I won't love you any less. And I'm sorry for walking out on you earlier."
"Nah, that just makes us even."
We just laughed our butts off entire night.
