I do not own Lucian, Sonja, or whoever else was in the movie. This is a short little story that I came up with during (surprise) a thunderstorm.
Plot: Set a few days before the movie. Lucian watches a thunderstorm and reminisces on one particular night with Sonja.

Thunder

Lucian gazed out at the stormy night through a window, his hands placed upon the ledge.
He mentally rolled his eyes as he heard the sounds of the lycans fighting in the next room. Most of them were watching and cheering. A few others had gone out to search for the human who had the blood of Corvinus in his veins.
Lucian knew it was only a matter of time before they found him, and then, his revenge would be complete, and he would make Viktor pay for taking away his beloved.
As another flash of lightning caught his eye, he thought back, on one night. It had been a few days before he and Sonja were caught, a day or so after he learned she was pregnant with his child.

Lucian's eyes opened following a rather loud clap of thunder. But it wasn't the thunder that had awoken him; it was Sonja, who had still been awake, as she wrapped her arms around her lover even tighter than before.
"Shh, it's alright," he whispered tenderly, as he wrapped his arms comfortingly around her. He knew she had a fear of thunderstorms, but she had never told him why.
Sonja nodded as she snuggled up against him. This was one of the nights that she was even more grateful that Lucian was with her. "Thank you," she responded, as she looked up into his dark gray eyes, her own emerald pair sparkling with love.
He nodded and reached down, gently kissing her. When he pulled away neither one spoke for a while. Then, Sonja said, "You must think this is silly, that I'm afraid of a storm."
Her lover shook his head. "No, it's not. Everyone has one main fear."
Sonja sat up a bit, gazing at him. "And what's yours?" she asked, even though she already had a good idea of what the answer was.
"Loosing you," he murmured as he reached up and cupped her chin. "And our child." He moved his other hand and touched her stomach, as if it was the most fragile thing in existence.
She smiled sweetly at him as she caressed his cheek, his beard tickling her soft skin. "You won't loose me," she whispered as she kissed him again. Lucian nodded before returning the kiss, pulling her slender body closer to him as she wrapped her arms around his body as well.
And then another clap of thunder broke through the night, and Sonja slightly tensed, but quickly relaxed as Lucian reached up and kissed her forehead before giving her another small kiss on her lips. When he pulled away she just gazed at him for a moment.
"I love you so much," she finally said as she gently kissed him.
"I love you too," he replied after they broke apart. She smiled again and leaned into his embrace, resting her head on his shoulder.

Lucian's eyes snapped open at the second clap of thunder. He sighed, raising his hand and grasping the pendant that hung around his neck. The only remaining piece of her.
"You will be avenged, my love," he whispered to himself. "I promise. As long as I am still breathing, I will never stop until Viktor pays for what he did to us."
"Lucian." The lycan alpha turned his head as Trix entered the room. "You better get in there. Those two are going to probably kill each other soon."
Lucian nodded before exiting the room. As he left he heard another clap of thunder.
He smiled an ever-so small smile.
