Reflections on life – An Alex Rider fanfiction
Disclaimer: I don't own Alex Rider, it's affiliated characters or plot lines.
Summary: Alex thinks about his life as he lies on a hospital bed after being shot for a second time.
Dying bit by bit
Ageing all the time
Trying to make myself fit
Treading the thin, thin line
The days go by
The poisons spreading through
The fragile lie
That I cultivate to keep them at bay
Not a normal set
Of critical symptoms
Don't think I've ever met
Some one quite like me
Gotta get fixed
Before society
The great opinionated mix
Gets a hold on me
There's no cure
For my malady
Just the irresistible lure
Of calamity
Got no real reason
To feel this way
Just the changing seasons
Gotta get through today
Had enough
Time to make a change
It's a bit rough
Trying to take the blame
Sucking life life through a straw
Lying in bed waiting for the final call
Not sure I can take any more
Doing nothing at all
A.N.: Okay so here you go another depressing poem. I did kinda like the bit about the lure of calamity though. :P Also the dying/ageing bit at the start was loosely inspired by Twilight.
