I peered through the crack of the door suspiciously. Katniss had been in there for hours, and I was going to go check to see if she fell asleep. What I saw made me smile. Katniss was sitting on the rocker, with our newborn son in her right arm, and our three year old daughter in her left. Katniss was awake, and she was just gazing at the two while she rocked back and forth slowly.

I opened the door and quietly walked into our son's nursery. It was a light shade of forest green, with trees delicately painted around. Katniss was sitting in a dark rocking chair with green cushions.

Our daughter, Brittan Primrose, was in a light pink sleeping gown with butterflies on it. Her dark brown hair was splayed all over Katniss's left shoulder, her mouth hanging open slightly showing off her white baby teeth.

Our son, Jasper Cinna, was in a dark blue sleeper with a star pattern. He had wisps of blonde hair framing his pudgy face. He was so small compared to Brittan, and they're both so beautiful.

"I can't believe they're ours." Katniss's voice took me by surprise and I jumped a little. I looked at her and her grey eyes were staring into my blue ones. She was smiling a true, genuine smile. You don't get that from Katniss often, but when you do, it's one of the most beautiful things you'll ever see.

"I know," I said. I walked over to the rocker and crouched down next to it. "They're so beautiful," I whispered softly.

"He looks so much like you already," Katniss said. She was gazing at Jasper with adoring eyes. "I hope he turns out like you."

I laughed lightly. "Brittan's already like you. Even by the way she talks. She's going to be quite a teenager," I said while looking at our little girl.

Katniss chuckled. "She takes after you with her art. Have you seen her paint, Peeta? She's going to be amazing when she's older."

"I bet Jasper's going to be the baker," I said. "It better be one of the two, or I'll have to make all the meals around here!" Katniss just smiled at me.

"They're so lucky to have a dad like you," Katniss said lovingly.

I shook my head. "No. They're lucky to have you. You're such a good mother, Katniss. I don't think you realize how amazing you are."

Katniss looked down at our children. "You mean that?"

I smiled at her. "Always."
