Legends of the Shu

It all began when three men made the oath in the garden. Liu Bei, future ruler of the Shu Kingdom swore an oath with his Sworn Brothers Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. All three of them swore to uphold the integrity and preserve the glory of the Han Dynasty. Liu Bei began the oath: "To protect the Han Dynast and to restore it to its former glory!" And with that, he lifted his mighty sword, Gold Dragon to the sky, its finely honed blade gleaming from the sunlight. Zhang Fei was the second one to take up the oath:
"We may have been born on the say day but we will die fighting together on the same year, on the same day, and on the same battlefield!" With a resounding shout, Zhang Fei crossed his spear, the legendary Venom Pike with Gold Dragon, a clear ringing sound resonating throughout the garden as metal struck metal. Guan Yu, the oldest and wisest brother completed the oath.
"Though we may fall, we will do all that we can to uphold justice with both our life and our death" The Oath was completed when Blue Dragon, the halberd crossed the other two weapons. With all three weapons held aloft, they flashed in the sunlight. If anybody saw the three brothers then, they would have sworn that they were not humans but Immortal Gods.

As soon as the oath was completed, autumn falls began and they found themselves in a garden with falling cherry blossom leaves. It was such a beautiful and peaceful sight to see the sun high shining benevelontly on the garden. Soon the calm was interrupted. An officer soon appeared. Paying his respects he kowtowed as he reported
"my Lord, the Yellow Turban is marching. Zhang Jiao has made his move and now Lord He Yi of the Empire has requested assistance in quelling the rebellion" Looking at each other gaining strength, Liu Bei finally nodded to the officer and gave the command
"Rally our forces! We shall go to He Yi's aid!" Genuflecting, the officer leaves and runs to do Liu Bei's bidding. Alone again in the garden, they said to themselves
"It is time.."
