Jack's quiet laughter tickled her neck and woke her from her light doze, the book sliding off the couch as she turned to look at him before she could catch it.
"What?" Sam felt his chest vibrating against her as he continued chuckling to himself, his eyes flicked from the television to hers for a second before returning to the screen.
"Seriously, what?" He hugged her tighter as they lay on the couch and nodded at the T.V. The sound was down low but was just loud enough for her to hear anchorman detailing the amazing escape of a "super intelligent" female orang-utan from the Adelaide Zoo in Australia. The news story detailed how "Karta" used a tree branch to deactivate an electric fence and use objects in her enclosure to build a ladder and escape over the fence.
"Must be the name," Jack laughed as she elbowed him sharply in the ribs.
A/N – I couldn't help it. I heard the story and laughed and laughed. A "super-intelligent female named Karta." Too bad about the spelling.
