"This 'teacher-wants-to-talk-to-mother' situation is really starting to escalate," Fixit said over dinner (a term which here means 'a time when people gather to eat potato chips and drink Gatorade'). "Bugler's teacher is really starting to get a little suspicious."
"How are we supposed to deal with that?" Ralph asked. "Hire someone to play Bugler's mom?"
"We could hire someone to play Bugler's mom," Bullet thought outloud.
"It was a joke," Ralph said seriously.
"It's a good idea," Bullet snapped back.
"But who?" Fixit asked. "Monta Coras' aren't exactly filing outside of our door as we speak." The doorbell (which Fixit had rigged to ring, even though they never got any visitors) rang and they all turned towards the door. Who would be visiting them?
"Avon lady!" called a voice. Zero grinned and jerked his thumb at the door.
"That sounds like a Monta Cora if I've ever heard one."
