Annabeth looked sadly at the picture in her pocket. It was of her and Percy before the incident. What was the incident? The knife in the back. Literally, he got stabbed during the Giant War. She sadly gazed at the picture and the words he wrote on the back. "Love you Annabeth. I will never let you go, even if one of us dies." And die he did. Now on his birthday, Annabeth has gathered the rest of the seven that survived, which was only Leo, Hazel, and Piper. Even Nico, Coach Hedge, and Reyna died. Annabeth looked into the eyes of Leo, Hazel, and Piper, knowing that it was only seventeen days and one year since their best friends died. And today, one of their friends would've been an adult.

"Fri- Family," Annabeth started, "we last gathered only seventeen day ago, but today is an important date, not only in history, but in our lives. Today would've been the day that the second one of us made it to adulthood. But thanks to Mother Earth, it seems to us that we can't." Her voice cracked. "L-Leo? Any w-words?"

Leo stood up as Annabeth sat down with tears in her eyes. He started off shaky. "Today would've been an important date for all of us, including you Annabeth." He sniffled. "Gaia took too much from all of us over the years; my mother, our best friends, our friends, my future girlfriend, and Frank." Everybody half-heartily laughed at his old grudge that seemed to be long forgotten until his joke. "But seriously, I'm glad we put her ass right back to sleep. Hazel?"

Hazel stood up. She may only be fourteen, but she looked much older because of the war. She saw things a child her age should've never seen. "Percy was a great friend. He… he was a loyal lover to Annabeth and a great brother to all of us. He also gave Frank a heart attack when he found him and Annabeth in the stables." They all once again chuckled. "But, he couldn't be a better friend to all of us." She turned to look at the last person to speak, Piper. "Piper, any words?"

Piper nodded and stood up. She picked up her notepad and a pen. A monster had cut out her vocal cords during the war, but by a hair she survived. She wrote for the next few minutes. She finally showed it to Leo and he read it for her.

"Percy may be dead, but he still lives in our hearts. He will never fully die. He was not a myth, but a legend. He was a great hero, but yet a great friend. I know I could never forget him, and I know you couldn't either. He was a family member, a hero, a lover, and one of my best friends. We all have our fights, and we all die. He did both at the same time, and boy, did he ever put up a fight. We will never forget you, friend, brother, lover, Percy." They were all in silent tears and were surrounding Piper with a hug.

Annabeth snuck out and out onto the beach. It was night, but she could still smell the breeze. In the sand, she quietly wrote, 'Love you, Seaweed Brain.' She felt the water wash up to her and it took her writing along with it. But, with the moon light, she saw something else in its place.

'Love you, too, Wise Girl.' She had tears running down her cheeks as she quietly lay down next to it. She fell asleep, not feeling sad anymore.
