I tried to get as much air as I could into my lungs after being thrown off of my ship by brutal waves caused by the storm, "ALICE, EMMETT !?" I yell their names in a desperate attempt at find my siblings hoping, praying they be alive as I watch our ship begin to sink to the bottom of the ocean, "EDWARD !" I spin as fast as I could, as fast as the ocean would let me to see my little sister fighting for her life against the harsh waves, she lost. "ALICE !" I swim over to where her body sank under the water and dive; the water was pitch black that if it weren't for her white dress I would have never found her slowly falling into the sea's inky blackness.
With all might I swim against the oceans harsh currents and barely reach her small hand with Alice in my arms I swim to the surface and gasp for air sea water and rain alike platted my face, "Alice, Alice? Wake up Alice I will promise if we survive I will buy anything you desire only if you WAKE UP !" she stirred and I chuckled even in near death the fool thinks of shopping. Nearby I spot the silhouette of a man, EMMETT my heart skips a beat at the joyous thought Alice continues to twitch to life in my arms," Be still my dear sister, you can move as much as you once I save our monster of a brother." I promise her.
As I swam towards my brother a flash of lighting aluminated the sky; I had not known how close we were to the sinking ship until I saw the begin to fall and struck my leg dragging me down I lost hold of Alice and sight of my brother as sank deeper into the sea, I was drowning as the last of my air bubbled to the surface and the pain in my leg numb I knew I was going to die. A hand grabbed mine but it was to late.
I can't decide whether or not if this will be a historical fiction or a modern times one, let know what you think but remember their are pros and cons to both sides.
