Max and 99 walked out of a hospital. She was in a wheelchair, and he wheeled it.
"Now remember, 99, you have a 3-month rehabilitation period."
"I kno, Max." Then she grew sad. "I may never use my legs again!"
"Now, don't you worry about that! The doctor says you have a good chance of regaining your legs."
"But what if I don't?"
"Well than I'll be your legs."
"Oh, Max!"
They hugged and kissed.
"KAOS will pay for what they did to you!"

Max awoke in a cold sweat. He looked at his wife, who was sleeping peacefully beside him.
"99!," he shouted.
This woke her. "What is it, Max?"
"Are you all right?"
"I was—until you woke me!"
He turned his bedside light and got up. Then he pulled the covers off of her feet.
"Max!"
"Wiggle your toes, please."
"What for?"
"To calm my mind!"
"Well, all right."
She wiggled the toes of her left foot.
"And your other foot, please."
She did this.
"Oh, 99, you're all right!"
He folded herself around her feet, for a few seconds! Then he got back up and went back to bed. He turned the light back off.
"What was that all about, Max?"
"A nightmare I just had." He quickly told it to her.
She lifted her legs up and stretched them. "Relax, Max. My legs are fine."
"I'm very glad to see that!"
"Max, if something like that really happened to me, you'd take care of me, wouldn't you?"
"For the rest of your life!"
"Oh, Max!"
They cuddled and kissed. Then Max settled back to sleep. "Good night, 99."
"Uh, Max?"
"Yes?""My feet need covering back up!"
"Sorry about that, 99!"
He got up and put the covers back over her legs. Then he went back to bed, and they settled back to sleep.
