99 was led down to a basement by three men. They ordered her to lie down on a gurney, then they strapped her down.
"Leave me," said one of the men. The others went upstairs.
"Talk, 99."
"I have nothing to say."
"You will, when I'm through with you!"
He walked over to her feet and too her shoes off.
"Will you talk?"
"Never!"
"Pity. I didn't want to do this to such a beautiful lady. But as they say, here goes nothing!"
He began ticking her bare feet. Despite herself, she started giggling.
"Now, will you talk?"
"(giggle) Never!"
"I've only just begun, 99!"
He continued tickling, and she continued laughing.
Suddenly one of the men ran downstairs.
"Can't you see I'm busy!"
"Sir, Bogerov is on the phone. He demands to speak to you."
"Damn! I'll be back, 99!"
He and the other man left.
A few seconds later, she heard someone crash through a window. She looked over towards it and smiled.
"Max!," she whisper-shouted.
He ran over to her. "99! Are they torturing you?"
"Kasper is ticking my feet!"
"How horrible!"
He pulled at the restraints holding her, but couldn't release them.
"Max, please hurry!"
"I'm trying!"
They heard a man come back downstairs. Max quickly hid in a corner.
"I'm back!" It was Kasper. Then he looked at her restraints. "Has somebody been fooling with these?"
"Er, no! I was just squirming around. They're uncomfortable."
"This isn't the Ritz!" He looked at them, again. "You're lying! Somebody else is here!"
"That's right!," said Max.
He came out of his hiding place. Kasper tried to react, but Max was quicker; he pulled out his gun and quickly shot him dead!
"Great work, Max!"
He ran over and continued fiddling with her restraints. After some time, he was able to pull them out. He helped her up, and as he was doing so, he quickly kissed her on the lips.
"Max!"
"Er. . . Sorry about that, 99!"
She started to put her shoes back on, but they heard footsteps coming close. So she (still barefooted) and he quickly ran out the window he went through. His car was nearby. They got in it and quickly sped off.
They parked at CONTROL headquarters. Max started to get out, but 99 stayed in her seat.
"Something wrong, 99?"
"You kissed me, Max."
"Yes. Well, I'm very sorry I did that! We should keep our relationship on a strictly professional basis."
"You were worried about me, weren't you?"
"Yes. Er. . . you're a good agent, and I don't want to lose you."
"Come here, Max."
He came closer to her. She kissed him.
"99, we shouldn't do that!"
She kissed him again.
"After all, we're partners."
She kissed him a third time.
"However, on the other hand. . . ."
They kissed again. This was a long, romantic kiss.
"I love you, 99."
"I love you too, Max!"
They got out of the car and went into the building, arms around each other.
