A/N- Another drabble! Yay. I know you won't enjoy it per say, but I hope you at least like it a little. And reviews make me write more. :]

The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected. ~Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

George looked at the body lying in front of him. This wasn't his brother. He looked just like him, and he was grinning like his brother. But this wasn't him. His brother lived. He breathed, and joked and fought and laughed. He didn't lay on cold stone floors, staring at nothing, his eyes glossy and, and… dead. His brother wasn't dead. He would know wouldn't he?

He would feel it. Of course he would. He knew everything when it involved his twin. He always felt if he was hurt, or upset, or if anything was wrong. But… he didn't feel anything.

(you can't feel anything because there is nothing to feel)

But that can't be right, because his brother always felt. So this wasn't his brother

(his brother wasn't dead)

Because his brother would jump up, shake it off, and then declare this was all a joke. Why was everyone crying? This wasn't Fred. They had nothing to be sad about. This wasn't him. George would feel it. They should know.

This wasn't his brother

(anymore)

It's just not him. He's somewhere else

(somewhere you can't reach. You're soul can't reach)

Hiding out in the castle, helping someone who got hurt.

(Merlin, it hurts)

That's all it is. He'll be back soon. That's it. Then he'll feel how Fred is feeling again. He'll be back soon. He has to. No he will. Of course he will.

(no he won't. He's not coming back. He's never coming back. And you're alone.)

It'll all be fine. His twin will be home. His other half.

(the other bit of your soul is gone. He's gone. You're alone.)

Why won't everyone stop crying? Why don't they get it? This isn't Fred!

(you're alone)

He's not…

(dead)

He… This isn't right… Why isn't Fred here yet…?

(gone)

No. No no. No. No no no no no no…

(this can't be right)

Alone? Gone? No. No.

(It still hurts. He thinks it might always hurt. His other half, the other part of his soul was gone. His brother. His twin. He didn't know what to do.)
