Preface: The Begining
Too simple. This was just too simple for him. Did they really think that he could be held here? Did they really think he could be stopped? They were mad. All of his plans were ready to begin. Just a simple task and the enemy would fall. If only he could see it happen, but alas, someone else was doing it this time. And to think he once thought she was a mistake! Ha! She was now the key to his plan.
All he had to do was wake her up, and she would do the rest.
If she responded the way she should, and if she did it right, the Batman's fall should be inevitable. Should? Ha! It will happen! Once Robin is out of the way, the Batman should explode, leaving Gotham in chaos!
Oh, how sweet this will be!
"Hush little baby," He whispered franticly, "Don't you cry." He became more confident in his sanity and yelled to no one. "Daddy's gonna sing you a lullaby!" He couldn't hold in the menacing laugh that followed.
He started to hum the familiar tune that would soon only be heard by those who could never tell what they knew.
She would do well. Continuing to hum, he grew louder and louder. The song echoed off the walls of the small, enclosed room. He smiled at the wind that began to blow from nowhere. Soon he was yelling the dramatic harmony, knowing someone would come to see what was wrong. And knowing that she could hear him, and she would soon be here to free him.
Just as soon as she did her chores, as soon as she did what she was told, the Joker would be free again.
