Fariy-Ice-Tale-Age Common and Difference.
Author's note: None of the characters are mine.
Despite being completely different, what do the Shrek Characters and the Ice Age Characters all have in common in the first three films of each franchise?
Well, that will be answered today in more ways than one.
Shrek and Manfred(Aka; Manny): Despite Shrek being an Ogre and Manny being a Mammoth, Shrek being terrified by others while Manny being a bit annoyed, they are both loyal to their friends, would risk their lives in protecting them, they would lead their friends on adventures, grouchy when some of their friends(Sid and Donkey mostly), emotional but try to hide it, and would sometimes do things without thinking, and their hearts are won and their loneniness would fade by their lovers(Fiona and Ellie). They are also fathers(for the second time in Manny's case) and deeply love their children and would do their best not to make them cry.
Donkey and Sid(full name; Sidney): Donkey may be...well, a donkey, and Sid being a Sloth, they love having friends, wanting to be part of a great family, whether the family is big or small, love to sing(though while Shrek has grown used to Donkey's constant singing, Manny tells Sid to shut up with the singing*as shown in Ice Age 2*), very loyal to their friends, would do their best to make them feel better, both parent material, and having relationships with giant carnivores(though Donkey is married with Dragon and is a father of mutant babies, while Sid is only in a relationship with a female T-Rex and is somewhat a step-father of T-Rex triplets).
Princess Fiona and Ellie: Fiona being a Princess and now an Ogress, and Ellie being a mammoth who once thought to be a Possum, watch out for these two strong females, because behind their sweet, gentle, fun, caring and serious personalities, they are both head-strong, stubborn, quick-witted, and can take up leadership when their husbands are in trouble, and they are the living proof that women can be just as tough as men.
(All males sweatdrop at this information, with Donkey asking to Sid, "Where did this Author come from?"
Sid shrugged, "Must be a girl too.")
Puss in Boots and Diego: Both part of the feline family tree, Puss and Diego may be tough, fearless, and will leap into action, they are both soft in the heart, caring for their friends, bold and noble. However, unlike Diego, Puss can be a flirt to either females of his own kind or human girls, and Diego had overcome his fear of water after rescuing Sid, Crash and Eddie, but Puss could tame a giant goose(Literally), and Diego fought against dinosaurs.
There you have it, eight important characters having a lot in common, perhaps in the next life, if they were reborn as humans, they could possibly meet.
(Everyone, including Crash and Eddie glanced at the author, breaking the forth wall as a result.
"What about us?" Crash and Eddie both asked in unison.
Author: You guys are one of the kind, so, yeah.
The brothers glanced at each other, then when, "Oh."
"Hey, do we get to sing an ending song for this story?" asked Donkey.
Author: Well...
"Please don't make them sing." Shrek groaned.
"It's bad enough for Sid to be singing." Manny agreed.
Sid glanced at them, then at Donkey, then at Puss and Diego who both immediately said in unison, "No!" then the former two glanced at Fiona and Ellie who smiled sweetly and Ellie said, "Oh, go ahead you two."
"Oh no." Shrek and Manny both grumbled in unision.
Immediatley, both Sid and Donkey stood up on a stage and began to sing in microphones, singing "Crazy" by One-Direction, and having Crash, Eddie and even Puss eventually joining in the fun, and Fiona and Ellie giggled, while the rest of them sighed.)
Oh yes! These guys do have a lot in common!
