Kasumi Karen smiled as she watched the brunette sleep. She had drugged him and left him at her apartment. She had even left Poe to watch him!! But even though she had done all of it to keep him safe he still came. He had risked everything to come to her rescue.
Such an act should not have been wasted on her. He had a family, he had a job, he had a life. She had nothing; tears and blood should not be wasted on her. She thought, yet here he was, bleeding from the knife wound he had inflicted upon himself to come to her rescue.
MONSTER!…Who would cry for you? Why the hell should I?! Her mother's shrill voice still so clear in her mind. Although they were just words they had left a deep scar on her soul forever. Tears came to the fire manipulator's eyes as she gazed at the man she loved. He had cried for her. He had saved her. Why? Why did he do it? The battle was over, yet the questions still remained. As she watched the man she couldn't help but cry.
"Th-thank you…Aoki-san.." She wept. She placed a slender hand on his face.
