"Whats wrong, G-man?"
"I really messed up with Bones."
"How?"
"Well, we went to Sweets to explain to him that the Cleo Eller case wasn't our first case together, and we ended up telling him the whole story of our first case together, and we told him everything. The kiss , how we almost slept together, how she struck me and said she hated me. He came to the conclusion that despite what happened in out real first case, we were still in love." Booth said.
"Well I knew that. I've been trying to get you guys together for years! What made you finally act on it?"
"Sweets thought that because I'm the gambler, I should be the one to take a chance on our relationship. I should have known she wasn't ready."
"What happened?!"
"I told her I wanted to give us a shot, see how things worked out. I want Bones to be the one I'm still in love with in twenty or thirty years..."
"I swear to God if she turned you down..."
"She did. She said she's a scientist and she can't change.. she doesn't know how. But I never wanted her to change. I love her just the way she is, and I wouldn't want it any different."
"Booth, give her time, she'll come around."
"I have to move on, Angela. I can't be single forever."
"Booth, let me talk to her.."
"Ange, no. It's between me and Bones. If she doesn't want to take a chance.. then I have to find someone else. I'll never love anyone as much as I love her.."
"She may be a scientist, but she knows nothing about chemistry."
