fandom: How to Train your Dragon

Synopsis: a group of chosen people who gain powers.

chapter 1

Takes place in that universe, but it takes place in present day. He lives in Boulder City, a small town just outside Las Vegas. His family is dead. He makes enough money to survive and live fairly comfortably. He also has a German Shepard named Stephen.

the main character is targeted by this guy. the man is big and burly, he engraves a symbol in the middle of Toby's chest. it is a white symbol that looks like a dragon with it's tale curling in towards itself. then he learns about his abilities and uses them to fight a bunch of baddies. the main character's name is Toby and his powers are self transmutation; he can turn into a dragon kinda... what I mean is he is a bipedal dragon man with some human features. When he transforms his clothes do not. He will soon learn to wear pants with elastic waistlines. His teeth are retractable.

He is a college senior who is trying to juggle his school life with his new powers. He is getting signals in his head telling him to go somewhere but he doesn't know where it is or why he is being called there.

disclaimer: this is my first story and I write dialog strange. I will have descriptive Bio cards ( I know it's stupid but it's my story so I do what I want )

chapter I Humble Beginnings.

We start at our hero's house where he has slept through his alarm, and he has no clue the great destiny that awaits him in the long road ahead.

The alarm continues to sound...It's now officially annoying *snore*( wha-what? ) He stammers awake ( oh no. no no no no no) he says as he looks at the clock and stammers to get up, dressed and out the door.

( yes I did )

( crap crap crap crap CRAP ) he says as he runs out the door and sees Caitlynn outside with a smug look on her face leaning on a tarp obviously covering something quite large

( ok two things, one why are you so smug looking? and two what is that, what are you leaning on ) he says while out of breath.

( well I believe both of your things can be answered by doing this ) she says while pulling the tarp off vary quickly to revel a black muscle car with dark red racing stripes. ( happy birthday! )

Toby gasps,

( this is amazing thank you so much, I love you so much.)

( I love you too. Happy birthday, now let's go we're going to be late for school.)

after toby and Caitlynn their went to his special birthday dinner, he takes her home and heads back to his own house when he sees a man collapsed on the ground on the side of the road, when he pulls over to investigate, he gets in close to see if he's breathing when suddenly the man grabs toby on the shoulder and places his on his chest and burns a Symbol on his chest before collapsing. Toby then touches the glowing symbol on his chest and winces in pain. He calls an ambulance for the man and goes home to bed.

as our hero sleeps wondering what the mysterious symbol on his chest, having no clue as to what it means, or what lies ahead.
