The day started off anew with the burning sun that rose over Beach City, The gems were on yet another mission this was a mission that could save some of the oldest gem artifacts that they had ever seen. They walked through the corridors of a huge pyramid like building Garnet leading them "We are close to something…" She said getting a weird feeling in her stomach she looked around and she quickly ducked as she dodged wall spikes that would have stabbed through her body but soon they made it into a huge room, They walked inside Steven had looked around nervously "H-Hey guys this is getting creepy…" Pearl blinked and she looked back "Steven this is our history so nothing to be scared about…except the traps…" She mumbled that last part. Garnet looked around but then she saw some holographs that had made some sort of story, Amethyst yawned loudly and annoyingly "Uuuuuugh this is so boring!" She groaned and Pearl shushed her "Amethyst stop acting like a child…" She groaned and she looked at the holographs it showed many gems working to keep the entire universe in check on different planets it showed how they communicated and how they would work with each other's but then the rest was broken off and long gone. Steven took his camera out and he took a picture of them as if it was suddenly after the picture the rest of it fell and Pearl gasped, Steven grinned "Got it!" Pearl sighed in a bit of relief but she looked to see a small opening there was a small glowing orb Pearl picked it up slowly "Hmmm…" She looked into it and she gasped seeing recorded history like a magic crystal ball. Pearl was so happy to find it she held it "We need to leave and get this to the temple!" She said as everyone started to walk back to the entrance. Amethyst was listening to music and moving around she just found the greatness of music from an MP3 playing. Pearl looked at the ball "This could unlock all the unknown history that Steven will need!" She said but then Amethyst closed her eyes as she danced and she bumped into Pearl and Pearl watched as the ball dropped from her hands and onto the ground where it had shattered into many piece she gasped loudly and she dropped to her knees picking up the pieces wide eyed.
Amethyst had taken one of the ear buds off as she opened her eyes her eyes went wide instant "C-Crap Pearl…listen I'm sorry!" Pearl growled and she backhanded Amethyst hard enough to leave a purple hand mark, Amethyst blinked in surprise. Pearl growled tears started to stream down her face "You ruined everything! You ruined of the exploring we had to do for something that could help us all! Something that would teach Steven more about his peoples past! YOU RUIN EVERYTHING AMETHYST EVERYTHING!" Amethyst looked at her feeling the deep and stabbing pain in her stomach and heart "I-I didn't mean it Pearl! I-I mean I…" Pearl shook her head "You are just one big mistake! You…you…failure!" Amethyst took the last word the worst purple tears started to fill her eyes as Steven and Garnet tried to calm to situation but Amethyst quickly ran past them and out of the temple Pearl walked with the others out angry and…just sad now feeling regret of what she had just done but they all went home Amethyst was gone she didn't come home which made Steven nervous "Is….Amethyst in her room?" He asked but Garnet shook her head with a sigh "No she is gone to cry I believe…" Pearl went into her room where she started to cry, Rose would always keep Amethyst and Pearl from ripping each other's heads off but Rose is gone…now Pearl was afraid she was going to lose Amethyst. After an hour Steven and Garnet went off to look for her thy were out for most of the night but…no sign of Amethyst they went home nervous and scared well mostly in Steven's case they went to sleep. Pearl was busy crying in her room in the temple she kept her hand around her stomach feeling absolutely terrible…she missed Amethyst…
Amethyst had ran out of the temple and she quickly went home to get a bunch of stuff from her room that she would want to keep with her as she left, She walked from the temple and to the far part of the island she was just scared and hurt she was called a failure…she believed it. She found a small island cave near the northside of the beach which she went into, It was cold, damp, and she could never seem to get dry in it but soon enough it started to rain which had made her cry harder than she was already. She curled up crying she didn't want to even face Pearl nor the others "I-I don't need them…I don't need them…I…I need them…" She sighed and she wiped her face to get the tears off but she jumped at a flash of lightning and a crack of thunder. She had a horrible fear of storms and she would usually be sheltered from them in her room as no sound really came inside of it, she put ear buds into her ears and listened to some songs hoping it would bring her mind off of it she fell asleep. She woke up late at night with a groan the rain had stopped and she blinked seeing her MP3 was gone "…where did it go…" She saw that she rolled on it and she broke it which surprised her and she growled "Damnit!" She yelled and she stopped on the ground so much bad luck but she had to deal with it…by herself
It was around 4 weeks since Amethyst left and Pearl was taking it horribly not going on missions and rarely leaving her room Steven and Garnet tried to get her out but they couldn't even get her to talk. In the middle of the night Amethyst came back but she went up the tower and to the top where she sat down on the hand of Rose, Pearl could sense Amethyst and she left her room her hair a mess and her face had tear marks all over she was wearing a shirt with sleeves for an odd reason but she went up and Amethyst spotted her and she tried to hide. "Amethyst…come out from there…" Amethyst crossed her arms and she looked at her as she stepped out from her hiding spot "What do you want…to call me a failure again…" Pearl blinked and she scoffed looking at her "No I wanted to see that you didn't die…" She groaned "You are too clumsy…you never listen ever since Rose…you know…" Amethyst blinked and she blinked "Well Rose isn't here and I can't do anything right anymore! I'm just one big failure but I have a wakeup call for you Miss Priss! I can't change! A…And I miss her too…" She said tears now falling off her cheeks "She was the one who actually treated me like a gem and someone important to the team! Ever since she died everyone says "Amethyst don't do this Amethyst don't try to help Amethyst you getting in the way!" She hiccupped as she cried "Rose would have said "Amethyst you're helping so much! Amethyst thanks for your help! Amethyst…you're so important…" She said covering her face as she dropped to her knees but Pearl covered her mouth "I-I…I never…I didn't" She watched Amethyst and she dropped to her knees and she hugged her tightly "I'm sorry….I'm so sorry…Rose would always tell me to ease up on you…I never hated you…I was always try to get you to be more reasonable…Because I don't want you to die because your gem breaks on a mission…I can't lose you…I can't lose anyone…If I do I wouldn't even want to live anymore…" Amethyst listened silent and she wrapped her shaking arms around her "Pearl…I never knew…You won't lose me…but you can't change me…I will be more careful I promise…" She looked at Pearl and then at her arms with a sleeved shirt she almost instantly pulled up her sleeves just to see the self harm…the cuts…the bruises…the scratches even bite marks on both arms then she saw the choke marks around her neck "Pearl…Pearl Oh my gosh!" Pearl looked down ashamed "I thought you were never coming back…I was just so scared" She blinked in surprised as she saw the other kissing the cuts and the tears would drip onto her arm "Never do this again! Never!" She said looking at her biting her lip but before Pearl could speak she felt Amethyst's lips pressed against her but she didn't even resist she wanted to do this for so long all she did was deepen into the kiss. She pulled away a few minutes later and she climbed into her arms "Sleep in my room with me…" She said and Amethyst nodded they went into the room and they fell asleep together they were inseparable since that day! /THERE WILL BE MORE LOVE IN THE NEXT STORY/
