"You okay Spence?" Hanna looked over at Spencer. The girls had decided to stay for another hour or so after watching the videos at Emily's house.
"I'm fine," Spencer snapped out of her trance and gave a fake smile at Hanna.
"The videos really hit you, huh?" Aria asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Yep… It's just hard to think that Ian was watching us, and Jenna… and Toby," She looked at the others, and they all just nodded.
"It was the one with Toby that tore you up, wasn't it," Emily piped up from the window seat, standing and walking over to Spencer.
Spencer looked down, tracing circles on Emily's blanket.
"Yes," She spoke truthfully.
"Because you blamed everything on him or because you like him more than you're letting on?" Emily asked with a knowing smile.
"Both," Spencer blushed bright pink.
"You like him?" Hanna smirked at her.
"Are we all talking about the same Toby here?" Aria asked eyeing Spencer carefully.
"You guys it's not that I like him…. We're sort of together," Spencer said in a voice that sounded as if it was fighting a singsong.
"Together?" Aria's eyes widened, and Hanna gasped. In that moment they heard Mrs. Fields yell:
"Emily, Toby's here,"
"Toby," Spencer gasped, and ran out of Emily's room, flying down the stairs.
"Spencer," Toby spoke when he saw her. He held out his arms, and she hugged him tightly. His heart beat was steady.
The other girls came down the stairs, not as quickly as Spencer.
Toby pulled back and kissed Spencer.
'I can't believe she let her guard down for Toby Cavanaugh!' Hanna thought to herself, while Aria just stayed happy for the both of them.
