Unexpected feelings

Chapter 1

Tsuna's POV

It all happened one winter night at the park by the swings.

"Juudaime! Anataga suki desu!" (1) Gokudera said as he looks at me with those forest green eyes.

Of course, I was surprise…I never knew he felt that way for me. Well, it was a bit obvious from all the antics he does just to impress me…but still…

I look at Gokudera. He was still looking at me. He seemed to be awaiting for my answer.

I gulped.

'What should I say? What should I do?'

I was starting to feel confuse. I myself wasn't sure of my feelings anymore.

I also like Gokudera-kun…as a friend… but… there were also these unknown feeling for the bomber.

"I…" I gulped and look down with my eyes tightly shut "I'm sorry Gokudera-kun. I-I just can't accept your feelings. B-But! I'm grateful that you feel that way for me. But w-we're both guys!"

That's right…this was for the best.

I look up, I could see Gokudera-kun looking down with a depress look on his face.

'Gokudera-kun…' I said in my thoughts

I held out a hand "B-but we can still be friends right?" I said with a bright smile, trying to cheer him up.

Sure, its for the best…but…

Gokudera immediately masked his depress face by giving me a forced smile "H-Hai Juudaime!" (2) he held my hand and gave it a light grip

…but…

His hands felt cold and shaky. I frowned at this.

…why do I feel like I made a huge mistake and will soon regret it?

I watch Gokudera leave while waving at me, still using that fake smile. I wave at him with a small smile. And then, before I knew it… snow started falling.

How unexpected…

I gripped my chest with a frown.

What is this?
