That girl is the most caring person that I have ever known.
To say her life was easy would be a lie.
She had the grades that would put her on top.
She was just a freshman when it all went down hill for her.
Just one day changed it all for her.
It was an ordinary day for her.
She went to school, passed an AP calculus test and was invited to a party.
After some consideration she decided to go to the party.
Little did she know that a surprise was in store for her.
She was talking to the jock of the high school.
She couldn't believe that the junior was interested in her.
But after an hour or so with the guy she was sure he would protect her.
Everything was going natural for her till she found her self in a bedroom.
She knew what was going to happen.
She always said she wouldn't let a guy use her but she was wrong.
He pinned her down to the bed, and went on top of her.
She screamed as loud as she could but that just made him excited.
After she became conscious of what happened, she thought her pain was finally over with.
He took her by her hand and said if anybody found out she would regret it.
She didn't know what to do when she came home.
Her parents were tired and knew it would hurt them to tell them the news at 11:30pm.
So she decided to wait till the morning.
When her time cam to tell the news, she confessed and confided to her mother.
She was shocked and her dad knew he couldn't attack him.
He just got out for beating a buy that harassed his sister.
She thought long and hard of what would help the matter go away.
She decided to keep it a secret till her best friend found out she was pregnant.
Now she knew she had to tell someone.
But who, the cops were to busy trying to catch crooks on each side of the neighborhood.
And she was due any day now.
When she told her parents she became pregnant she was left crying for days.
She thought what will I do now, and why did it happen to me.
She began to lose hope for her self, till her mother told her something that would change her life for good.
Her mom said no matter what happens you know your father and I love you.
And don't worry about that bastard, because you don't need a man, a man needs you.
As long as I am breathing that child will have a house to live in, no matter what.
Thirty years have gone buy and her daughter is at the top of her class.
She skipped a grade and will graduate in the spring.
For the young woman, she is now a cop, fighting to keep rapist off the street.
Oh yeah, her rapist is serving life in jail for multiple rape and domestic violence charges in the past year.
As she looks at her daughter she just smiles.
And when her daughter asks her why she is smiling, she says because I know that for as long that I am breathing no man will ever hurt you.
