What Sora doesn't know

Book 1: Excalibur

Leon and Yuffie sat at the Hollow Bastion's information superhighway computer room. "You know that island that Sora used to live on? What was it? Oh yeah! Destiny Islands!" Yuffie said.

Leon's face lit up. "This computer will tell us anything… like HOW to get to Destiny Islands, and weather it's resored or not."

Their eyes met at a sparkling glance and Leon quickly typed in DESTINY ISLANDS into the "WORLD SEARCH" panel and in a few seconds the results where shown. But the only thing was… only 1 result was found. Leon pressed on the singular result and it showed a 3-D, 360 degree picture of a man that looked exactly like Ansem, but had dark, black hair and a metallic tattoo of the kingdom key crown on his chest. Exactly where Ansem has his darkness symbol. Leon read the worded results below the picture.

"The person pictured above is named Excalibur. He is the brother and twin of Ansem, holder of all knowledge of darkness. Excalibur on the other hand knows everything about the Keyblade and Destiny Islands… … Ughh… What's wrong with this thing?"

"It seems as if the words are all cut off…" Yuffie explained.

"I know THAT. But maybe it's cut off 'cause Sora didn't restore the world yet."

Then, suddenly, a member of Organization thirteen appeared on the screen and said, "AH HAHAHA! You fools don't even get it!"

"Leon, I'm scared." Yuffie said in a defenseless voice. She hugged Leon tight. He hugged her back.

"I was the one who destroyed the files of Destiny Islands so you have no hope of ever seeing your Sora again! Even if he does restore the world…" said he man in the organization coat.

"Why are you doing this to us?! We have caused you no harm!" Leon exclaimed. "And tell us where we can find Excalibur!"

"He lives in a world only some know of…" the man said in an unsure voice.

"LIES!" cried a new voice.

Then Leon and Yuffie saw him. Excalibur. Tied to a chair. He said, "Each friendship you make in another world may give you clues as to where to find me. Please… hurr-" and the man in black demolished the screen with his fist and the image disappeared.

"I'll get Cid." Said Leon. The two ran from the computer room. Yuffie ran faster than she usually does, because she felt as if a monster-no, a heartless, was chasing her.

Leon and Yuffie talk Cid into making a gummiship for them that breaks through the world barriers, just as the heartless did. Cid had the ship made in 7 days.

"Alrighty. The gummi's ready to go." Cid said in a surefire voice.

"Thanks, Cid. It's a real… Beauty." Leon said.

As soon as Leon said "Beauty" Yuffie and his eyes met, and they stared obliviously into each other's eyes. This was no ordinary oblivion. This was compassionate oblivion. The feeling like no one in the world is there but you and your love.

"Ughh… You kids can go. But please, for King Mickey's sake, be careful." Cid said in an awkward voice and walked away.

"Yuffie?" Leon said.

"Yes?" Yuffie responded in a soft voice.

"Please promise that whatever happens to us… our love will always stay strong." Leon said in a hopeful voice.

"Scout's promise." Yuffie said in an honest voice and crossed Leon's and her heart.

Then they shared a kiss. And with this herculean task on their hands… it just might be their last.
