Cougar Town. Children Talk
"I Love you!" She whispers into his ear as he kisses her neck, he smiles and kisses her lips passionately
"I Love you too" he says bringing them into their bedroom only breaking the kiss to get air, he lays her on the bed and looks at her
"What's wrong boo?" She says looking at him directly into his eyes
"Nothing" he says smiling like a little kid
"Well something's on your mind" she says gazing at him
"Have you ever wondered about having kids?" He says knowing he's ruined the moment when she moves from below him to sit up slightly her elbows holding her up
"Andy..." She starts
"Just hear me out Ellie...You carry the baby for 9 months and then you can carry on hanging with Jules and I'll look after it"
She smiles at him "and how would we make ends meat?"
He thinks for a second "ok how's about I work, you quit your job and we get a nanny and then you can spend all day doing whatever you want"
She just stares at him "quit my job" she says with no emotion in her face
"Or maybe we could both work and..."
"Andy" she says again "we haven't even thought about children yet why now?"
Andy mumbles something
"I'm sorry what was that?" She says
He gets off her and lays next to her "we're getting older..." He starts as glimpsing over at her "I'm getting older and I dunno" he says
Ellie looks at him not knowing what to say
"Let's forget I said anything" he says going back to his place on top of his wife
"Just like that?" She says surprised
"Yeh"
"Andy we should talk more about this" she says
"Tomorrow"
Ellie was about to say something else but Andy started kissing her
At Jules house Jules and Laurie were drinking wine at Jules kitchen counter area like usual
"So where did they go again?" Laurie asks
"Andy used one of his sex cards on Ellie" Jules says
Laurie laughs "she'll be back in 10"
They both laugh and start talking more
In no time minutes pasted and Ellie walked back in grabbing the bottle of wine and chugging it down
"Wow slow down there missy" Jules says trying to get the bottle off Ellie "what's gone on"
Ellie puts the bottle down "he wants kids" she says walking over to the couch
Laurie and Jules look at one another
"I got the wine" Laurie says as they both go and sit next to Ellie
"There's nothing to talk about" Ellie says
"Of course there is" Laurie says
"Did he say he wanted kids before or after sex?" Jules says pouring out the wine
"Like a minute before"
"Seriously, mood ruined" Laurie says
"So what did you say?" Jules said handing Ellie and Laurie wine
"I told him I hadn't even considered children and then I asked him what brought it on...and then he said because we were getting older blah blah blah" she says drinking her wine
"Please say he corrected himself" Jules said knowing how Ellie feels about getting older
"Of course"
"So what else did he say?" Laurie asked
"Well he wanted to carry on but I said we had to talk about it"
"Till tomorrow right?" Jules said
"Yeah"
"Girl you need to go over on his ass and tell him you don't want kids, I mean I feel sorry for your kids cos with Andys hair and your attitude..." Laurie says before Jules cuts her off
"What Lauries saying is that you have to talk to him" Jules says as Ellie gives Laurie an evil look
Ellie looks at Jules before setting her wine glass down and leaving the house
"What do you thinks going to happen?" Jules says to Laurie
"I don't know but I wanna find out" she says dragging Jules to Ellie's house with her
Ellie goes in through the kitchen and looks at Andy "we need to talk" she starts
"What about?" He says
"Come on Andy, don't act dum" she says taking his hand and going over the the sofa with him "about what happened before"
"Didn't I do it right?" He starts "because I share..."
She laughs a little "no you did it right" she says smiling at him "the whole kid business" she says
"Oh that" Andy says "look Ellie, I do want kids, but I also want you to want them and not just me wanting them..."he looks in her eyes "I want his both to be ready" he says with a smile
Ellie just stares at him
"What? Do I have something on my face" he says touching his face
Ellie laughs "no" she says kissing him "I love you boo"
Andy rests his forehead on hers "I love you too"
"Aw" they both hear, they turn around to find Jules and Laurie stood in front on the back door
"What are you guys doing here?" Ellie says standing up
"It was Lauries idea" Jules says pointing at Laurie
"No fair" Laurie says "but that was the sweetest thing..."
"Out!" Ellie says pushing them outside
They try to get words in but Ellie pushes them outside shutting the back door, then turning back to Andy who's also stood up "sorry about them" she says "I'm still training them"
Andy just laughs and hugs Ellie
"Andy"
"Yeah"
"I'm ready..." She says in a shy way
Andy looks at her "you are?"
"Yeah. I mean I can't train them well but I guess with a kid there's always motive for improvement right?"
Andy just stares at her before picking her up and taking her into the bedroom with Ellie laughing the whole way
Back with Jules and Laurie watching through the back door
"Twice in one day...must be tough for Ellie" Jules says with Laurie laughing her head off
