Chapter 1
Naruto was in the academy classroom waiting to find out his team placement. Iruka had already told Naruto them about the importance of working together and all that. After teams were called Naruto noticed his name wasn't any of them.
"Iruka-sensei…how come my name wasn't called?" asked Naruto.
"Because do to an unfortunate accident involving another team, you'll be placed on that team instead." Said Iruka. Iruka then dismissed the class for lunch to wait for their sensei's, but asked Naruto to come into his office for a minute.
Once inside his office Iruka said, "Alright Naruto, I already told you of your team ordeal, but you're being placed on team Gai. His student Rock Lee got seriously hurt during training practice and has unfortunately ended his career as a ninja."
"Oh, that's bad. When will I meet Gai-sensei?" asked Naruto.
"DYNAMIC ENTRY!!!" Shouted, you guessed it, Might Gai, as he came careening through the office window, which thankfully was open.
"I'm Might Gai. And I'm looking for one Uzumaki Naruto." Said Gai.
Naruto stared at Gai in a comical expression as Iruka pointed towards Naruto. "So you're Naruto. Nice to meet you. I'm Might Gai. You'll be my new subordinate. How about being my new apprentice?" asked Gai as he held up a green leotard. "I suppose, but make that thing orange and we have a deal." Replied Naruto. "EXCELLENT!! It shall be done. Meet at training ground 9 tomorrow for team practice" said Gai. And with that he left the way he came with a shout of "DYNAMIC EXIT!!!"
Naruto shook his head as he left the academy wondering just what in the hell he got himself roped into.
