BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
A white Chevy van pulls up next to us and my grandpa yells, "Get in hurry!"
My mom and I get in quickly and sit down once inside. The sirens of cops are ringing and I can hear them getting closer.
"Someone just got shot again," says John.
The cops arrive and block the street of Creston on both sides so that no one can get in or out. My dad arrives and gets in the car.
"Ted what is going on," asks John.
"Some cop just said that the guy got away and now they are out looking for him."
"He is probably hiding some place or long gone they are never going to find him."
"Yeah", says Ted,"but they did catch one of the drug dealers the rest ran away. Charlie and his crew got out also since they carry weapons on them."
They continue their conversation, while I just watch out the old vans window. It's a crappy van broken, run down, has wholes on the floor and roof, but it is all my dad can afford. Of course at that time I was 6 and couldn't care less. I was a happy little poor girl that lived in the worst part of New York, the Bronx. Now I am seventeen.

"Hey Naomi, are you coming to the party tonight?"Yells my friend Ana as she is going out the front door.
"Hmm, yeah sure I just have to do something before that."
"Okay dreamer, just do not be late we are celebrating your birthday!"
Ana is funny, outgoing, and might be the only one who does not bug me when I randomly zoom out. Of course she must think I am just thinking about Zac instead of my childhood.
Pares Long is boring most of the time because it is way too quiet and I am use to the noisy New York City even after all these years of moving out.
Beep. Beep. Beep. "Well the watch says that is enough workout for today, see you tomorrow morning Richie. "
"Alright Naomi, I'll see tomorrow morning so we can go for a morning run before we put you in the water so do not even think about touching a bottle of anything besides water tonight."
"Alright Richie I promise no drinks. Ana and Zac are going with me tonight so I know I'll be okay."
to be continued...
