Disclaimer: I do not own Crescent Moon. If I did, there would be a sequel.
Enjoy!

He was tired of being short. No one would say it while he was in earshot, but he knew that they commented on his shortness when they thought he couldn't hear. But he did.
So, one day when he was alone, he bought one of those human things that were supposed to stretch out the bones and make people taller.
"I'll be tall in no time," he thought.
He used it faithfully every night for a month, but there was no improvement. He began to think that he had wasted his money, but he refused to quit using it.
One night he was in his room using it as usual, when Mahiru walked in.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing, Princess. I'm simply tired of being short," he answered.
She stood there looking at him for a long time. Then, she walked over and kissed his cheek.
"I like you short," she whispered. Then she walked out.
He stood there for a long time, hand over cheek, just thinking. Then he smiled.
"Maybe I do to."
