Light flows down from above,
Dimmed by the dark clouds
Hanging above the earth.
Time stops; doesn't change
As an eternity of silence
Encompasses all.
A hush
Not a whispered word
Not a rustling of wind-blown leaves.
Air stands still
Waiting, anticipating
Preparing for the time
When the sky shatters
And the earth shakes
In fear
In the last moments of existence.
Three words
Whispered in a lost moment.
Lightening crashes,
Thunder clashes,
The earth shakes,
Before it is ripped apart
Shattered into pieces like glass
As if it were nothing more
Than a small bubble
That shatters into tears.
Only to be reborn
Created anew
From the ashes
From the ruins
From an eternity of lost chances
Suddenly given light.
