The Lorax Movie Ending
I should explain first. In my English class we watched 'The Lorax' for film studies. Then the teacher showed us the book and compared the endings. She then told us to make the movie's ending into a Dr Seuss poem ending.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Lorax it belongs to a genius named Dr Seuss.
Ted held the seed close to his heart.
"I won't let you down."
He then left the Once-ler's house
With a determined frown.
"I know you won't." The Once-ler said
With his voice louder less.
He then continued staring
At the stone 'Unless'
Ted entered is home,
The home of the Thneed.
He was disgusted that 'he'
Thought that's what everyone would need.
Ted then ran to the centre,
The centre of town square.
He pushed his hands up
Threw the seed in the air.
"MY NAME IS TED WIGGINS!"
Ted announced to them all.
"AND I SPEAK FOR THE TREES"
But he caused an uproar.
"Go away kid!"
Was all they said.
Ted tried to explain but they said
"Make that seed dead!"
Ted ran for it
With people hot on his trail.
He saw a big machine and thought
"This plan cannot fail!"
Ted hopped into the machine
And collided into the wall!
After a few seconds
It decided to fall.
The ugly truth that
Has been hidden for all those years
Was shown to them.
Silence rang in their ears.
"Like I said before."
Ted gained their attention.
"I speak for the trees."
He gestured to the seed filled with perfection.
"We need to do what's right."
Ted said while looking below.
People exchanged some glances then said
"LET IT GROW!"
They returned to the square
And planted the seed.
Ted thought to himself
'Much better than a Thneed.'
The Once-ler then whispered
With a tear in his eye,
"Thank you Ted,
Now Trees will never die."
