Shock, it was apparent across Kate's entire face. If you would have asked her ten seconds ago how her and Castle's relationship was she would have responded with a negative response. Now the man of her dreams was on one knee in front of her. She struggled to get the words out, but finally breathed out a joyous yes. In fact, in this exact moment she realized she wanted nothing more than to marry Castle. As they looked in to each other's eyes, they knew this was true love.
Smiling and tearing up, Kate accepted the ring Castle had begun to place on her finger. Castle, "It's absolutely beautiful." "I was hoping you would like it," he lovingly responded. Castle could just see her now, walking down the aisle in an elegant, formfitting dress. He pulled her in for a kiss full of passion and joy. Neither could seem to wipe the grins off their faces. They were almost in their own little bubble. Nothing could get in there way.
With the ring on her finger, Castle could do nothing but to hold his fiancée close. He didn't want to let go in case his was some sort of a dream. He reached down to grab her hand as they began walking through the park, both almost speechless. However it wasn't long until Kate pulled him in again for another kiss. Smiling away, Kate looked to Castle, "I guess I can kiss you whenever I want to now." Letting out a small laugh, Castle responded with, "Remember, so can I."
Thoughts bustled through Kate's head until she realized that she had forgotten about the job in DC. Looking to Castle, Beckett's face had a sudden serious look to it. "Castle, what about the job in DC?" Quickly interrupting her, Castle responded, "I love you Kate, and I'll go wherever you are" He softly touched his hand to her cheek while he continued, "You are my everything, and I want you to take this job. It's a great opportunity, and I'll be happy as long as I'm with you." Castle's heart is literally shining through when Kate responds, "Castle it's okay, my heart is here. My family is in New York and I don't want to change my entire life for one job. You know, my friend Royce once told me that putting the job ahead of your heart is a mistake. I never understood him until now. Seeing you on one knee made me realize everything I need is right here."
