"erraagh" Ginny moaned as she woke up. She looked around and realized she was in the hospital wing. Across the room she saw Draco Malfoy and for some reason she didn't feel the need to vomit. He actually looked... peaceful? Ginny laughed! A peaceful Malfoy, that will be the day.

She got up and walked over to his bed, then sat in the chair next to his bed. For the next hour she sat there and looked out the window.

"Weaslette?" Said Malfoy looking very groggy.

Ginny continued to stare out the window, while Malfoy continued to look at her in confusion.

"I was thinking about what Voldemort said to Harry his first year. When he said "There is no good and evil, there is only power." I don't agree with him, there is good and evil, but it is because of power. Power is what everyone wants and because everyone wants this they tear down those with more power then them. So those who want to tear the other down see themselves as good and the other evil. Therefore, good and evil are what power has made."

"...why are you telling me this?"

"To tell you the truth I don't know, it was a random train of thought!" She finally tore her eyes away from the window and looked at him. Shivers ran up his spine.

"How did you end up in the hospital wing?"

"I'm not sure, I can't remember. Probably something to do with Zabini, he and I got into quite the fight yesterday and I hexed him. I'm guessing this was some form of revenge, I just can't remember it. How did you get in here?"

"I was paired with Longbottom, need I say more?"

Ginny laughed, "No, Nevilled has his strengths, but Potions is definitly not one of them" she said, smiled slightly.

They were silent for a while, each in there own thoughts.

"What is your favorite book?" Malfoy asked. Ginny looked at him as though he had just coughed up Voldemort. "Well?" He looked at her expectantly.

"Uhm... probably Alice in Wonderland. It seems very childish, but if you look for symbolism you're sure to find it."

"The cat is my favorite." She looked at him straight in the eye.

"You read muggle books"

"No I never have and never will, muggles are filth. I do love the cat, he is rather brilliant. My favorite line is when Alice asks him "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "Th-

Ginny interupted " That depends a good deal on where you want to get to"

"I don't care much where" Malfoy responded

"Then it doesn't matter which way you go"

"-so long as I get somewhere"

"Oh you're sure to do that, if you only walk long enough"

They sat there in silence, thinking over what Alice and the Cat had said. Malfoy realized just how much that quote pertained to him. He looked at Ginny and saw she was looking back.

"Well I'm going to ask Ms. Pomfrey what happened to me. Thank you for this pleasant exchange of words."

"Your Welcome"

Ginny got up and left Malfoy there to stew in his thoughts.
