Vega stared at her Odd Wall and closed her eyes momentarily.
If she was honest with herself, Scarlett really had no place on her Odd Wall. Yes, she had plenty of negativity. And yes, she had a no-nonsense attitude that Vega really admired. And yes, she wasn't above breaking the rules for selfish reasons.
Vega shook her head. She was sitting here, on her bed, trying to think of reasons to take Scarlett off the Odd Wall, not leave her on. Scarlett was a fellow Star Darling and despite her attitude, a powerful and capable student.
Letting out a long yawn, Vega rubbed her eyes and shook her head. She really should have been doing this in the morning, after a good night's sleep. Late at night, at hours best used for sleeping, was not the ideal time for hard thought. Her mind was all over the place and her thoughts more than a little fuzzy around the edges. Switching off her Star Zapper, Vega laid her head on her pillow and closed her eyes.
However it was no good. Vega's brain simply refused to shut down and her feelings only made things worse. She sat up once more.
Logically, if she was honest with herself, Vega would leave Scarlett on the wall. Scarlett was certainly interested in the Negatite when Vega had found it. And as a Star Darling, she almost certainly had the power (unlike Vivica for example, who showed no sign of being exceptional in any way, except exceptionally nasty) Nor was she stupid by any stretch of the imagination, with grades that remained high to say the least.
But a part of Vega disagreed. The part that made Vega's stomach erupt with butterflies when she watched Scarlett walk Vivica in the air using just her fingers. The part that made Vega's heart beat faster whenever Vega watched her concentrating on particularly absorbing piece of art, or the way she made Vega's stomach float when she was playing her drums.
Unable to sleep and having no idea how to handle these strange sensations, Vega opened her Star Zapper once more. Surely there had to be a good reason there somewhere….
AN: Okay…a one sided Vega/Scarlett fanfic. I don't know how my brain hit that one, but…let me know what you thought.
