Cheaters Go Where
It's been a year since I found out my girlfriend of three years, Miley, has been cheating on me with her best friend, Lilly. I found out from Oliver when I asked where Miley and Lilly were he told me everything but I never wanted to see it. I mean I had my suspicions when Miley used to sneak out at night but knowing was something completely different.
When I heard it hurt and I wanted to cry but couldn't. I wanted to tell Miley that I knew but she seemed so happy. That's why I've been thinking of what to do the past year and finally decided it has to stop and no I'm not gonna tell Miley to choose I love her too much to so I'm standing outside Lilly Truscott's house waiting to tell her she won because I realized Miley's been the happiest I've ever seen her this past year.
Gathering all my courage I knock on the door and hear footsteps before I look into the eyes of my girlfriends lover,
"Mikayla? What are you doing here?" she asks
"I just came to talk to you" I said trying to keep cool.
"Ok what about?" Lilly walks outside with me and closes the door.
"Ok here goes" I said as I sigh
"I know about you and Miley and I just came by to say you win I'm walking away so you and Miley can be happy together" there I said it.
"Well that's nice of you but I broke up with Miley yesterday so you actually win" Lilly smiles at me and my knees buckle how come I never noticed how beautiful she was.
"But you make her happier than I ever could" I say surprised.
"What you didn't know was the whole time she was with me she talked about you and the look on her face when she did proved how much she loved you so I backed off".
"Thanks" I reply back as I walked away from the house 'I gotta go find Miley' I call her cell phone but she doesn't answer so I swing by her dad's house and bingo I see her car. I pull in and feel the knot in my stomach tighten even more. 'What am I gonna say?' I could say what's been on my heart since the day I met her. I knock on the door and Mr. Stewart answers,
"Hey Mikayla what's up" he says to me casually
"Is Miley here?" I ask but then I see her sitting at the kitchen table with tears in her eyes. Mr. Stewart stepped aside to let me in and I walked over and wrapped my arms around her neck without hesitation. A few minutes later she calms down and I ask her what's wrong.
"I feel horrible" she replies back.
"Why" I asked already knowing the answer but wanting to hear it out of her mouth.
"I cheated on you and I'm so sorry" I look into her eyes and see she actually means it and say,
"I forgive you and I just want you to know that I love you with all of my heart and I want to ask you something" already on my knees I just look her straight in the eyes and ask,
"Miley, will you marry me?" Miley gave me a look that scared me into thinking she'd say no but then her face lit up and she yelled,
"Yes! I'll marry you" and kissed me full on the lips. We spent the next six months planning our wedding and went on our honeymoon to Hawaii.
Everything was fine until two years ago we found out Miley had a rare form of throat cancer and only had three months to live. We tried to make the best of her last few months taking nothing for granted and doing everything she wanted to. She passed away in my arms on February, 12th 2010 and I will miss her every day I live without her.
