William
He comes to me
and on bended knee;
he takes my hand
and kisses my fingers lightly.
He pulls me down
upon the warm, sweet hay
that makes a nest
in the center of the field.
Above us is a sea of blue
with small, white clouds
that go slipping quickly by
as the gentle breezes blow.
Below us is a sea of gold,
a bed so soft and warm,
it forms a wall around us
so no one in the world can see.
His eyes are full of joy,
his smile is shy and sweet,
cheeks so pink and rosy
like the blush of a juicy peach.
We roll over in the wheat
and he kisses me softly,
my heart races wildly,
he touches me lightly on the cheek.
He is full of mischievous giggles,
laughter and joy never-ending,
full of life and love and passion,
beauty, grace and charm.
He lifts my skirts to touch my thigh
and I shiver in the warm fall sun,
I plant soft kisses on his neck,
his sigh rushes past my ear
like a soft evening breeze.
We shall always be together
in this place that is ours alone,
together before the beginning of time
and bound for all eternity.
For Heath
