Summary: This is a oneshot based around when Alex left after "Witness".
It's in Olivia's perspective.
Witness.
The cool air hit my chest as I jogged down the stairs to the mailbox.
Bills, bills and more bills.
Then a small pink envelope fell from the stack of letters.
Alex.
I left the rest of the mail in the box and wandered back upstairs.
A picture of Alex and I still sat on the bench.
She was so happy.
In fact the entire apartment was filled with photos of Alex and I.
They hung on the walls, sat on the cabinets and were placed on bedside tables.
Alex was all around me.
In some ways it made me miss her more and then in others it helped to fill her absence.
I sighed and opened Alex's letter.
Olivia,
I think I'll be staying here longer than expected…
The situation here is worse than I ever thought it would be.
I'm so sorry Liv'. If you can't wait for me then that's fine.
You deserve a life Olivia, you deserve a partner who can be there for you.
I know that I haven't exactly given you that lately and I'm sorry.
I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you.
That I love you with all my heart and that I only want what's best for you…even if that's not me.

The letter brought tears to my eyes.
I can't believe she'd ever think that I wouldn't wait for her.
I'll wait for the rest of my life if I have too.
Alex means so much to me…
I know Alex is passionate with what she does and I'm the same.
She's doing the right thing staying there.
She's helping people.
All this and I still can't help but miss her…
