Summary: I'm having a big thing with when Alex was Emily so here's another one.
Basically just read it in my opinion they are a bit to similar just with a different back story oh well read it and you can judge for yourself.
Ashes.
For our two year anniversary Olivia and I went to stay in an old cabin of my parents up in the forest.
In the day she made me swim in the river with her (regardless of how much I protested).
During the night we'd curl up by the fireplace just to listen to the sound.
The fire soothed me, made me tired.
Olivia would hold me in her arms and whisper sweet nothings in my ear as if we were young lovers about to make love for the first time.
This would continue until we fell asleep on the floor.
When we went back to the cabin a year later the forest was only ashes and dust.
It'd burned down a week before we got there.
I remember seeing it and bursting into tears.
That night as we curled up by the fire I couldn't help but sob at the great loss of such a beautiful forest.
Olivia held me, soothed me and told me that everything would be alright.
When I asked her how she sighed and squeezed me tighter.
"The fire was just nature's way to make room for a bigger, more beautiful forest. From the ashes of this one a new, more beautiful cluster of life will arise."
"For a new life to be made the old one needs to be burned." She'd said.
Emily has never heard these words but Alex has.
A fire of hate and murder burned through Alex's life taking her with it.
From its dark ashes Emily arose and led her own life.
Though Olivia had told Alex that the fire only happened so that a bigger more beautiful life could be formed this was not the case.
Alex was a lawyer that is surely bigger than an accountant.
Alex had friends, family and a beautiful girlfriend surely that is more beautiful than Emily's friends that don't know the truth, think her family is dead and think that she is about to marry her colleague Justin in less than a month.
Emily's dreams are to get married to Justin and bear his children…but these are not Alex's dreams.
Alex dreams of a fire tearing through Emily's life like it once did hers because only then can Alex arise once again.
Only then can a new life arise from the dark ashes of secrets, lies and fake life of Emily.
From these ashes Alex will bloom.
She'll take back her life with the ones she loves.
If only Olivia was right.
If only Alex still existed…
