Show and Tell Kenji

The toddler we usually see walking around the dojo is now a 5-year old boy that is now in his fifth grade. Kenji woke up early, today was Monday the first day of a school week. He gleefully fixed his futon then took a morning bath as his otousan fixed breakfast.

A few minutes later, their breakfast was already ready. As Kenshin placed the food on the empty trays, Kaoru began fixing the dining room. She took a broom and began to clean the room then Kenji came.

"Ohayo, Kenji." Kaoru greeted her son, kissing the kid on the forehead. Kenji simply gave a kiss on his mother's cheek after greeting her. Then, Kenshin entered the room and settled the trays down. The family settled themselves down then they began to take their chopsticks.

"Let's eat!" Kenji said gleefully, taking a bowl of rice and then began chewing his way. Kenshin smiled at Kenji, he was so hungry.

"Kenji, you look so hungry." Kaoru commented.

Kenji brought the bowl down, the contents were shown already half and then wiped his mouth as he settled his chopsticks down. "Hai, 'kasan." Then he took his cup and began gulping down the contents. "May I have another cup, 'kasan?" he asked, showing her the empty cup.

"Hai, you may." Kaoru replied, taking the cup as she filled the cup with tea. Kenji took the cup and then settled it down beside him. Taking his rice again and then began eating.

"Kenji be careful when you eat too fast." Kenshin told his son, eating his own meal. Kenji looked at his father, bringing the empty rice bowl. "I'm ok, touchan!" he pronounced, taking the cup of tea beside him and then emptied the contents.

Just as Kenji finished eating, Yahiko showed up. He gave a bow to each and then sat down beside Kenji. "Uncle Yahiko!" Kenji cheered, giving the older boy a high five.

"Better hurry up, Kenji…or you'll be late for school." Yahiko told Kenji, watching the boy wipe hid mouth. "I'm finished!" he smiled, standing up, along with Yahiko.

"Have fun at school, Kenji." Kenshin told the kid, watching him walk up to him and kiss his cheek. Then, Kenji walked up to his kachan and then gave her a kiss on both cheeks. "I'll be home, kachan!" he told her.

Then, the little one spun around and took his Uncle Yahiko's fingers then started to walk.

"Kenji is a big boy now, Kaoru." Kenshin told his wife as he sighed.

"Yes." The raven-haired woman replied, finishing her meal.

Kenshin stood up, and took his tray so did Kaoru. "Now that we are alone." Kenshin told Kaoru. "I'll teach you something."

Kaoru giggled and gave Kenshin her tray. Kenshin gave her a teasing grin and then walked his way to the kitchen to wash the trays, with Kaoru trailing behind him.

I don't think I'll be able to do much fanfics anymore….i'm sick of doing this and that with no-nothing!! Hmm…I'm so short tempered ain't I? Sigh! Sorry for that, try to think of what's going to happen next ok? Just…uummm…help me on what Kenji's homework will be…I have an idea right now but maybe it won't be that much…so, help me please!
