Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter :(

Every full moon a ghost haunts the Shrieking Shack, a ghost of a boy. He is living yet dead. His eyes show a horror only those like him can understand, for he is a werewolf. He is Remus Lupin.

Every full moon it's the same. He always finds himself curled in a ball, waiting for the moon to awaken the monster.

And when the moon comes, he screams. The sickening sound of bones snapping and his screams echo through the shack. Fur sprouts all over him. And he feels pain. It is agony, absolute agony. But the worst part is when the beast inside him takes control-when he no longer is human; his mind taken over by a savage bloodthirsty wolf. Het over when he wakes up in a surrounded by blood. He has to make back to Hogwarts and come up with another lie for his friends.

He hates it, he hates all of it. He hates being a werewolf. He hates lying to his friends. He hates transforming. He hates waking up. He hates himself.

But even with this in mind, Remus Lupin manages to smile each day. He carries on through every month. And most importantly he manages to find happiness.

A.N. Sorry it's so short, but I just wanted to get this out. But, I am working on a Wolf's Rain fanfiction that hopefully I will finish sometime next week or so (And it's Spring Break).
