Don't Leave Me
A short drabble-ish thing I just thought of...it's probably really bad, and I'm sorry if it's too short :/
"Remus? Remus!" I screeched at the top of my lungs, looking around frantically. "Where are you?"
"Tonks!" someone shouted in the distance as I followed the voice; my ears straining over the sound of battle.
I turned the corner to see Remus fighting off a tall, dark figure who was continuously throwing curses at him. Anger rose through my body. I interjected; throwing myself in front of him and casting defensive spells around us. Lupin quickly pulled me beside him and continued to throw spells.
After a few minutes had passed a sudden green light covered Remus' body as all went silent, excluding the manic cackle that erupted on the other side of the room.
His body swayed from side to side, my hand manically prodding him, wanting a response.
"R-Remus?"
He didn't answer as everything moved in slow-motion. His hair drifted about in the cold air, his amber eyes quickly losing their lively colour, flickering as if he had dust in them.
His eyes quickly caught mine for a split second.
"Run." He mouthed, taking his final breath and falling softly onto the floor.
I jolted upright just at the moment, breathing heavily. Feeling around I found myself in a bed.
"Remus?" I choked out.
"What's wrong?" He whispered, turning on the bedside light. I heard the sheets rustling as he shuffled alongside me.
I threw my hands at him, making sure he was all there. Making sure he was real. I felt around his face and his hair, his toned arms and his chest.
"You're alive, you're alive." I muttered under my breath, reaching for his hips.
He chuckled, firmly gripping onto my hands, pulling them above the covers.
"Yes, I'm alive." He assured me.
"Good." I sniffed, my vivid dream replaying in my head.
"Bad dream?"
I nodded slowly, my eyes adjusting to the bright light. A book was resting in his lap – he must have been up all night, it was no surprise, he usually was.
He pushed me back down on the bed and enveloped me in the covers; I hugged him tightly, never wanting to let go. I sniffled into his chest as he turned the light back off, his hand making soothing circles of my arm.
"Don't die." I whispered solemnly, waiting for his reply.
He licked his lips, his breathing steady and composed.
"Promise."
I know, I know...total crapness. Urgh! Well anyway, review if you like! *hinthint*
