It was early in the morning. Before the first rays of light had even begun to peak over the horizon. The birds were still snoozing in their nests, the morning dew had barely begun to settle in. The entire city was peacefully dreaming.

This included me. A young, celebrity gecko. Snoozing away on my couch, the television remote in my hand, and my nearly empty bowl of popcorn spilled on the floor. Everything seemed normal. Seemed being the keyword there.

The digital clock nicely planted upon the TV had just struck 3:47, when the TV flickered on. A bright blue glow emitting, the static filling the living room, echoing off the walls. What happened next was strange, to say the least.

I awoke to the feeling of something cold pressed against my cheek. Like, four metal claws gently running down my face. As I was about to open my eyes, I heard chuckling. Deep, demonic, semi-robotic chuckling from a voice I knew all to well. His voice. I froze.

The chuckling quickly died down, with an audible 'sigh' following after. My breath hitched. 'What the hell is this lunatic doing?!' I thought, as he continued to run his fingers over my cheek. 'How did he get out of the media dimension and into my--'

"You are my sunshine…" He whispered. I could hear him shuffling, before his weight was placed down by my hips, sinking the leather cushions in more.

"My only sunshine.."

His voice.. There was something about his voice.. It sounded.. 'No! No!' I reminded myself. He was evil. He was my nemesis. Besides, he was just another part of the media dimension. He had no real feelings. Anything he possibly could feel was fabricated and stolen from over-dramatic soap operas and crappy reality shows.

"You make me happy.." Happy? Happy? Yeah right. Like I said, fabricated and stolen.

"When skies are grey.." I could feel his fingers travel a little further down. Now tracing along my jaw line. I'm sure if I had hair, or ears.. He'd attempt to push it behind my ear. He must have seen this on one of those shows he was so fond of. There was no way he could honestly feel anything.

'But then again…What? No! What am I saying?' I had to resist shaking my head. I didn't want this psycho to realize I was awake. Who knows what he would do if he figured that one out.

"You'll never know dear.." Alright, alright. This was going on for far too long. I had to open my eyes. I had to stop him. After all, what is the worst that could happen?

"How much I love you.."

My eyes snapped open as I pushed my body up. "Rez!" I exclaimed, looking around the darkened room. Everything seemed exactly how it was when I had fallen asleep. The popcorn was still on the floor, untouched.. The remote was now in my lap, and the television was off.

I let out a deep sigh of relief as I laid back down and closed my eyes, and just as I had begun drifting off, I heard a faint, echoing whisper.

"Please don't take my sunshine away.."
