Malka was on his way to Simba's pride, being escorted by Zazu.
Unfortunately, Simba and Nala weren't available today, as Simba was getting lessons from
his father and Nala was spending the day with her mother. As disappointed as Malka was,
he was ready to go back home before he heard someone call to him.
"Hey!" A female voice called, and he turned around to see a chocolate brown
lioness cub. She reminded him very much of Nala. "Hello!" She greeted.
"Oh..um, hello." Malka said shyly.
"Who are you? I've never seen you around the Pridelands before." Kula remarked, looking
Malka up and down.
"My name's Malka. I'm from the Pride across the mountain... Zazu brought me here." He said.
Kula looked surprised.
"Oh, really? How do you know Zazu?" Kula askd.
"I wandered away from my pride one day and ended up here...I met Simba and Nala and I came
to play with them today, but they're not here..." Malka remarked sadly with a sigh. Kula's ears
perked up.
"Oh, you know Nala? She's my cousin. You can play with me if you like." Kula said with a smile.
Malka looked up at her and smiled faintly. "Oh, and, uh, my names's Kula."
"Right." Malka nodded. "So, what do you wanna do?" Kula thought for a moment, mauling it over.
"Why don't we go get a snack and then play near the waterhole?" Kula said, heading for a cave
where the Lionesses regularly supplied it with food. Malka laughed.
"Okay."
