Arthur sat alone on his little shelf collecting dust. He lashed out at others, so he had no friends and he felt no one could love him. Arthur was a little tin vampire. People could wind his key in his back and he would walk around. But, no one ever picked him up. He sat in the back, alone. He was tired and sad. All he wanted was to be loved.

Time passed, he was still alone. He was now old and broken. His gears froze, his paint was peeling, and his little tin heart was rusted and broken. Kids and toys came and went, but no one ever noticed the little tin vampire. And so he sat, alone on his shelf. He closed his eyes and waited for someone to finally throw him away.

One day, someone knocked him off his shelf onto the floor. The employee picked him up and dusted him off. "What a strange little toy... Ah well." And threw him into a doll house without further examination. Now Arthur really felt alone. But... A voice whispered to him as a gentle hand touched his shoulder "Hey... You're alright, da?" A white eared stuffed doll turned him over to look at him "No! No I'm not! Leave me alone!" Arthur snapped sitting up. He stopped and stared at the cute little bear with purple button eyes. "What's your name..?" Arthur asked as a sudden blush fell over his faded cheeks. "Ivan. And yours?" The bear replied with a sweet smile. "Arthur..." He breathed. He suddenly didn't feel so alone.

A couple months had gone by in the doll house. Ivan had repaired Arthur's broken parts, including his rusted heart. "Arthur! Come sit with me and watch the sun rise!" Ivan called from the living room, where a large window facing the sun laid. Arthur walked over, his gears jingling slightly, and sat down. "I-Ivan... Will you be with me forever?" Arthur asked out of the blue. Ivan turned to him and smiled "Forever and ever Arthur!" His next sentence was cut off by Arthur's cool tin lips pressed against his warm cotton ones. Ivan blushed and found himself kissing back. Arthur pulled away and smiled "Thank you. Thank you for everything." As the sun rose the two toys locked lips again. Arthur had never felt less lonely. And he would never feel lonely again.

The End
