Ok so first story. The idea just sort of hit me the other night. Short one shot. I would place this some time before TFW but after TAE so that should give you a clue to when. A little FAX a little amusing. I have been to Otakon and it is really fun and amusing. I don't own. Fang's POV

We were in Baltimore, no real reason just passing through. It was late July and the city was exceedingly hot. There were tons of tourists walking around the Inner Harbor. Nudge was trying to get Max to take us to the mall that was just a block away. Gazzy and Ig wanted cheesecake. I just wanted to hold her hand while we walked. No such luck Max was still running from my feelings.

"Max, why are all of those people dressed funny?" Angel asked our fearless leader.

"Um, not sure," Max shot me a quizzical look. "Maybe it is a really big costume party?"

As we were talking a group of teens dressed in odd, brightly colored clothes, and wearing wigs walked passed us. They were giggling and discussing something about cute bishi boys. What? I looked at Max. "Um at least we aren't the weirdest people here."

"Oh, I know. Let's follow them and see where they are going! Maybe we can get in too. I mean if it's a party maybe that would be really fun. Are we dressed alright for a party? Maybe that purple top in my bag would be better?"

"Nudge!" Iggy placed his hand on her shoulder to stop her from talking. "If they are dressed weirdly then we are fine."

"Can we Max?" Angel turned puppy eyes on Max.

"Oh I guess. But we need to be careful."

The kids whooped and we started following a large group away from the harbor. We took a flight of stairs up to an elevated sidewalk and followed the group. I kept hearing words in another language and I saw more wigs and strange fake weapons than I ever thought could exist. The walkway passed over a fountain and then a rooftop.

"They all have badges around their necks." Max noticed.

"Must be how they get in." Max shot me a look that clearly said thank you captain obvious.

The building at the end of the walkway was very large, and kind of cool looking architecturally. There were thousands of kids dressed up and just milling around.

"Maybe we should just ask them what's up?" Iggy was turning his head every direction to get his bearings.

"Excuse me," Max approached some girl wearing a tee-shirt with cartoon characters on it. "What's going on? Why are you all here? And why are they dressed like that?"

"This is Otakon!" The girl practically giggled in her excitement. "It's a huge Anime convention. They are all dressed like their favorite characters!"

"Thanks." Max turned back to us and rolled her eyes. Then a guy walked passed us with 15' of fake, mechanical black wings. "You know what I think it's time to blow this joint. I can handle crazy but this is just way too crazy for me."
