The Weeping Willow
By: SerafinaMoon
The weeping willow
A tree standing tall.
Cut to make a cross,
Weeping, it started to fall.
It wept for the man
That the cross was made for,
A crown of thorns he wore on his head,
And into his hands the nails did bore.
The man was perfect,
He did not sin;
He healed the sick,
Again and again.
He taught the people:
Men, women, and children.
He taught them to love
Their friends, enemies, and brethren.
He healed the sick,
He preached and taught,
For the peoples sake,
Salvation He bought.
Jesus died for us
On a weeping willow cross,
And God has the tree
Weeping for his loss.
