As Clark made his way towards the revolving door at The Daily Planet, he sighed. Ever since he had shared that kiss with Chloe on 'Dark Thursday', he couldn't seem to get her off of his mind.

We're the best of friends
And we share our secrets
She knows everything that is on my mind

As I lie awake in my bed

He quickly jogged down the stairs and stopped short when he saw her sitting at her desk. Her hands were rested on the keyboard in front of her and she was biting her lip. It was something that he was so used to seeing her doing. But this time when he saw her, he felt a weird sensation come over him. It almost felt like love……no it couldn't be. She was his best friend not his love interest. Besides, if they would get into a relationship, it might ruin their friendship…..just like what happened between him and Lana. And he couldn't live without Chloe in his life.

Clark slowly began to walk towards her, his heart beating a-mile-a-minute. Should he tell her how he felt, or should he not? What would she say? Would she feel the same?

Clark finally decided that if he kept himself out of the game for fear of losing, that he would never win. So he went straight over to her and nervously said, "Chloe, we need to talk."

Chloe looked up at him and was about to respond, when they heard another voice come from behind them.

"Hey C.K., hey Bright Eyes," Jimmy Olsen said as he approached them. He looked from Chloe to Clark, who was wearing a disappointed expression. "Did I interrupt something?" Jimmy asked, raising his eyebrows.

Clark sighed and shook his head. "No, not at all." He looked at Chloe, who was looking up at Jimmy with a smile on her face. He closed his eyes and thought, I love you, Chloe, I always will. I hope that someday I'll get the chance to tell it to your face.

Why don't you kiss her?
