Thanksgiving

"Arthur can you put the turkey into the oven?" Gwen asked calmly and her eyes were looking at me.
"If you don't want too. I can call up Lance." Merlin commented his eyes were looking at me.
"No need to call him up. I will do it." I stated firmly and they both smiled at me which caused me to faintly smile. I'm practically useless when it comes to cooking or making food. However I can handle physical labor such as putting this thirty five pound turkey into the oven. Of course it weighs more due the stuffing inside of it not to mention the large iron thing that contains the turkey and that thing has a lid too. What would Gwen and Merlin do without me to do the heavy lifting?
"Thank you." Merlin and Gwen said at the same time after I placed the main dish into the hot oven.
"No problem at all." I informed them. Last year I had tried to make Thanksgiving dinner all by myself a couple of days earlier to surprise Merlin and Gwen, but needless to say I nearly burned down the kitchen and the food didn't taste right at all. The reasons why I tried was because Lance two years ago made them a Thanksgiving meal when they were too sick to cook and I had planned to find some microwave food such as slices of Turkey and potatoes, but then Lance showed up and started cooking. Mainly I wanted to prove myself to Merlin and Gwen that I could make a Thanksgiving meal better than Lance. However it resulted in an epic failure, killed a bit of my ego, and said ego took several days to recover from it.
Without Merlin and Gwen in my life…I would end up having to eat out every single day and my life would be less fun along with other things. They are both very important to me. I'm not sure what I would do without them, but I personally do not want to find out.
"Arthur here is a shopping list, but you don't have to go shopping if you don't want too." Gwen said softly while staring up at me.
"If you don't want to go out. I can call Gwaine." Merlin informed me while looking at me and smiling faintly to himself.
"No, I can do this important quest on my own." I commented confidently, I have the shopping list in my hand, and they wished me good luck on my journey. To be honest this will be my first time shopping on my own without Gwen or Merlin or Merlin and Gwen being there.
